The Huntsville Hamfest is pleased to welcome the return of several YouTubers covering the event.  On Sunday be sure to visit Jason, Mike, Josh and several others for a 2 hour roundtable discussion in VBC Forum Room 1.

A Gathering on Monte Sano 2026:

For many years, POTA and QRP enthusiasts, YouTube creators, campers, and other amateur radio operators have made Monte Sano State Park their home away from home during Huntsville Hamfest week.

That gathering has grown into Four Days In August, or FDIA, a week-long HamCamp and series of informal, hands-on radio gatherings held at Monte Sano State Park from August 17–23, 2026.

FDIA is built around what the organizers call Anti-Forums. Instead of sitting quietly through another slide presentation, these are small, practical, conversational sessions where everyone is encouraged to ask questions, share experiences, build things, test ideas, and learn from one another.

Topics range across the amateur radio world, including POTA, antennas, CW, APRS, Meshtastic, AllStar, RF testing, signal intelligence, emergency skills, and plenty of other radio rabbit holes.

Day visitors are welcome to join the activities throughout the week.

Monte Sano YouTuber Cookout – Friday -10 am. Meet your favorite YouTubers at a donation lunch & POTA event at Monte Sano State Park under the John Scoble Memorial Pavillion. This year for 2026 we are asking everybody who is going to attend the cookout on Friday to register at the following address. https://montesano.aa0z.com/

Registering will guarantee your place in line. We are only purchasing enough food for those who register. During the registration, please specify if you are going to bring a side dish.  We will eat around noon.  Once you register we send a confirmation email with a QR code and more info (map to the park, park info, etc…)  We will scan the QR code at the pavilion.
